Tightyard is a product of Augment AI Labs Corporation. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Augment AI Labs Corporation. This policy explains what information Tightyard collects, why, who receives it, how long we keep it and the choices you have. It covers the Tightyard yard app, the website at tightyard.com, and the texts and emails Tightyard sends.
Tightyard is a business tool for companies in the United States that keep tools in a yard.
The short version
- Companies use Tightyard to keep track of who has their tools.
- Each company controls its own records. We keep them for that company and use them only to run Tightyard.
- We never sell your information or use it for ads.
- We never track where you are with GPS.
- If your company adds your mobile number, we send you one text asking you to reply YES, and nothing else until you do. You can reply STOP at any time.
Who is in charge of your information
- Your company's records. A company that uses Tightyard decides what goes in: its staff, its foremen, its tools, its jobs and who has what. Those records belong to the company. We hold them for the company and follow its instructions and the Terms of Service we have with it.
- Our own records. We are in charge of a few records we keep ourselves: your replies to our texts and our record of your agreement, sign-in and security logs, data about how our website performs, and messages you send us.
What we collect and why
If you sign in to Tightyard
This covers yard staff and admins.
- Your name, work email and role, entered by your company. We use them so you can sign in and so records show who did what.
- The sign-in codes we email you, and the other emails we send you, with whether they were delivered. Each code works once, so you never need a password.
- What you do in Tightyard, such as each scan, with the time and the yard phone you used. This keeps the record of each tool complete.
If you get Tightyard texts
This covers foremen.
- Your name, mobile number and language, entered by your company, and the job you are on if your company records it. We use them to text you about tools in your language.
- Your replies to our texts, such as YES, STOP or HELP. We also keep a record of your agreement: when we asked, the exact text we sent, who at your company added your number, and when and how you answered. It shows whether we may text you.
- The texts we send you and whether they were delivered.
- What you do on your Tightyard link, such as tapping Got it, handing tools to another foreman or taking a tool after hours.
Your company's records about tools
- Tools: category, make, model, serial number, replacement value, where each one is kept, when it was bought and photos.
- Photos of a tool's nameplate. We read the make, model and serial number from the photo. That reading happens on the phone or in Amazon Web Services, and nowhere else.
- Inspections: the type, the result, who did it or is assigned to it, when, photos and when the next one is due.
- Jobs (number, name, general contractor, close date and project manager) and trucks, trailers and boxes.
- Every move of a tool: who had it, who has it now, when, which yard phone or link recorded it, its condition when it came back and any note someone typed.
Yard phones and tablets
- Each device's ID and name, its yard, when it last connected and its app version, so the yard knows which phones are in use and we can keep the app up to date.
- A working copy of the company's tool records, kept on each yard phone that runs the app so scans work without a signal. It syncs with our servers when it can.
Logs and error reports
- When your phone or browser connects to Tightyard, our servers record its IP address, its browser or app type and the time. We use these logs to keep Tightyard secure and working.
- If the yard app runs into an error, it sends us a report about the error.
- If your phone is set to share crash reports with Apple or Google, they may pass a report about a Tightyard crash on to us.
Our website
- We measure how fast our pages load and catch errors. This records your browser and device type, the page, any error, and the country, state and city your internet connection comes from. It uses no cookies.
- When you open your Tightyard link from a text, your browser keeps one cookie so the page knows it is your link. We use it for nothing else.
- When staff sign in, the app or browser keeps a sign-in token so they stay signed in.
- Anyone who scans a Tightyard tag sees that tool's card: its photo, its name and who to call about it. A tool card never shows who has the tool.
- Your company may give you a sticker with your name and a Tightyard code for your hard hat. The yard scans it to put tools on your name. Anyone else who scans it sees only how to reach the yard.
If you contact us
Your name, email or phone number, and what you tell us, so we can help.
What we never collect
- Your location from GPS. Our website learns only the country, state and city your connection comes from, as described above.
- Pictures from your camera when you scan. Your phone reads the tag code itself, and we never receive the image. We receive only photos someone takes on purpose, such as a photo of a tool.
- Your contacts or anything else on your phone.
- Payment data. Tightyard does not take payments.
- Advertising IDs or any tracking for ads.
Text messages
We use your mobile number only to send Tightyard tool alerts. After our first text, we send nothing more until you reply YES. Reply STOP to any Tightyard text to stop the texts. You can also reply ALTO, or email us. Our SMS Terms list every way.
Who receives information
We share information only as listed here.
- The company that added you. It sees its own records, including the texts we sent you, whether they were delivered, and whether your texts are on. It never gets the record of your agreement.
- Our service providers. Amazon Web Services runs Tightyard for us. It stores our data, signs staff in, and sends our emails (Amazon SES) and texts (AWS End User Messaging). It acts for us, may use information only to provide its service to us, and must protect it at least as well as this policy does. Phone carriers deliver the texts under the laws and rules that govern them.
- The law. We give information to authorities when the law requires it, or when it is needed to protect someone from harm.
- A new owner. If Augment AI Labs Corporation merges or is sold, Tightyard's records go to the new owner, and this policy still applies to them.
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
Cookies and Do Not Track
Tightyard uses only the link cookie and the sign-in token described above. We use no advertising or tracking cookies, and no other company tracks you through Tightyard. Because we do not track you across other websites, we treat every browser the same, whether Do Not Track is on or off.
Where we keep it
In Amazon Web Services data centers in the United States, mainly in the US West (Oregon) region. The working copy on yard phones stays on those phones.
How long we keep it
- While your company uses Tightyard, we keep its records until it deletes them or its account ends. Records of tool moves are never edited, because they are the company's history of its tools. If you delete your information, they stay without your name.
- When a company's account ends, its admins can export its records for 30 days. Within 90 days of the end, we delete all of it, backups included, except the records of agreement and stopped texts described below.
- Backups of our database last 35 days, so deleted information is gone from them within 35 days. Deleted or replaced photos are deleted 30 days later.
- Logs, including IP addresses, are deleted after 90 days. Two security logs are kept for 1 year instead: our own people's access to company records, and the time and IP address of each staff sign-in. Website performance data is deleted after 30 days.
- Records of your agreement to get texts are kept for 5 years after our last text to that number, so we can show you agreed.
- Records that you stopped texts are kept as long as Tightyard sends texts, so we never text that number by mistake.
- Messages you send us are kept as long as we need them to help you and to keep a record of what you asked.
How we protect it
- Information travels over encrypted connections, and Amazon Web Services encrypts it where it is stored.
- Each company sees only its own records. Staff sign in with codes sent to their own email. A foreman's link shows only that foreman's tools, stops working after 90 days without use, and the yard can turn it off.
- Only named people at Augment AI Labs Corporation who need a company's records to run Tightyard can reach them. Each has their own sign-in, and every access is logged.
- If someone gets into a company's records without permission, we tell that company as soon as we can and follow the law on notices.
Your choices
- See or fix your information. Ask your company's admin, who can see your records and fix your name, phone number, email or language. Or email us, and we will help.
- Stop texts. Reply STOP to any Tightyard text, or see our SMS Terms for other ways.
- Delete your information. Yard staff can tap Delete my account in the yard app. Anyone can ask their company's admin or email us. Within 30 days we erase your name, email and sign-in, take your phone number out of your company's records, and confirm when it is done. Your company keeps the history of its tools, with your name replaced by a label such as "Former foreman". We still keep your number in the record of your agreement to get texts for 5 years after our last text, and on our do-not-text list if you stopped texts. Backups and logs clear on the schedule in How long we keep it.
- Other requests about your company's records go to your company first, because it controls them. If you write to us, we pass your request on and help your company answer it.
- Rights under state law. If a law where you live gives you rights over your information, email us to use them. We will not treat you differently for using them.
Companies that use Tightyard can read the promises we make about their data in our Terms of Service.
Children
Tightyard is a business tool. It is not meant for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you think we have, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we post the new version here with the date it takes effect. If a change is material, we email every company's admins at least 30 days before it takes effect. If the law or the phone carriers require a change sooner, it takes effect when they require it. We email every company's admins as soon as we can.
